The usual political science definition of power is &quot;the ability to influence or cause.&quot;  A neutral term.

I always enjoy the irony of the protester, unable to influence or cause what he thinks should happen, and totally frustrated, wanting so bad he can taste it the ability to influence or cause what he thinks should be done, accusing others of being power hungry.

The lack of a legitimate power can lead to sin as well as too much.</description>
