Sheep Chimera = 85% Sheep + 15% Human

Filed under: Medical Ethics — shelray @ 11:50 AM

This newly developed Chimera maintains the body of a sheep while the hybrid’s internal organs are made up of a combination of human and sheep cells. In addition to the obvious grave immorality of developing chimeras that mix animals with humans for any reason what-so-ever, some in the scientific community fear that, “Many silent viruses could create a biological nightmare in humans because mutant animal viruses are a real threat, as we have seen with HIV.” While on the other side of the chasm, the animal rights activists fear for the sheep which could take on human characteristics.

  1. Is there some point where these chimeras are not only created for laboratory use but for possible breeding (if not infertile?) and for livestock? If the latter, would that mean that any human who ate them would also be committing cannibalism?

It does seem that the warnings of Orwell and Huxley are being melded into one great soon-to-be-upon-us society of horrors.

  2. That pix of a sheep looks like my Aunt Ethel.

When my second son received second and third degree burns on 1/3 of his body, I was very appreciative of the baby piglets that gave up their skin for grafting to help my son heal. This is the correct order of nature, not giving up human parts to make animals progress.

Not to decide is to decide. We need to grow backbones and preach this from the heights. No more armchair quarterbacking; rise up Christians and take back what the Lord has given you.
In season and out of season.
