The Fictitious Father Pancracio argues, “the image of Jesus is trademarked by the Holy Roman Catholic Church”

A synopsis of a film being released later this month called Tortilla Heaven:

One Sunday, while the rest of town piously prays the Lord’s Mass, Isidor makes tortillas for the lunchtime crowd. But today he’s having trouble with the dough. He rolls it, slaps it, slams it; yet time and again one tortilla comes out wrong. “Jesus ***** Christ!” he curses, tossing it onto the comal (grill). What he doesn’t notice is that the tortilla begins to burn — in a very special way. And on it appears the face of the just maligned Jesus Christ.

The metaphoric Eucharist and the unforgiving priest brought to you below in living color. Experience the miracle in us all, tortilla heaven.

My synopsis: A small, poor isolated town where the uneducated are controlled by the (Catholic) church of greed and hypocrisy, is eventually freed from their captors by the saints of self adoration. You know, the typical Hollywood mocking of religion and faith operated by the corrupt and believed by the stupid. (Adapted by the The Trades movie review) . When the liberal art majors from Hollywood throw in their two cents about issues of morality and faith, you should give thanks if they don’t happen to match up with yours.
