Human nature is given to us by God; we cannot try to manipulate our bodies as though they had no connection to our souls. What they are doing is disrupting the boy's natural development because they can. Since these doctors apparently do not have a complete understanding of the human person, the are potentially causing irreparable damage to this young boy. Furthermore, by assuming a distorted view of sex difference, they are leaving untreated the underlying problem associated with the boy's dysfunction. Modern medicine is a blessing but when it is applied by doctors with a Cartesian view of reality, it can quickly become a curse as well. This way, she'll have her options preserved should she change her mind when she is older. Nothing irreversible is being done...that's what is so great about this. Praise the Lord for giving us humans the minds and motivations to ease suffering in all it's forms. Whatever our relationship between our genders and bodies, we are all God's children. Kim’s puberty blocking treatment is such good news! This way, she’ll have her options preserved should she change her mind when she is older. Nothing irreversible is being done…that’s what is so great about this.

Praise the Lord for giving us humans the minds and motivations to ease suffering in all it’s forms.

This is sooo Cartesian. The idea that this child is in the wrong body is so bizarre. Second, what must have happened to this child to make him want to be a female. I just can't see how any male would have any concept of what it is like to live as a female, and to think that this child wants this done is almost as bad as having adults supporting him in this horrible endeavor.
