“for those indoctrinated in the feminist school of gender uniformity, Brizendine’s words are heresy”

The Female Brain“, written by the self proclaimed feminist, Dr. Louann Brizendine, is quite interesting in the fact that applying the results of clinical work and scientific analysis, Brizendine was forced to concede that everything she had been taught about gender was wrong. As she put it, “I know it is not politically correct to say this but I’ve been torn for years between my politics and what science is telling us. I believe women actually perceive the world differently from men.” It’s a good lesson to remember that we become who we are and what we believe, partly through the experiences of our lives; but as individuals, there are those of us who seek the truth, and those who reject anything that contradicts what they want to believe as true. Well done Louann!

  1. So, does she believe women should be treated differently under the law because of these ‘brain differences?’ Does she believe we shouldn’t be educated? I find it very suspicious that once women began making real achievements in the world, all of a sudden scientists began finding objective evidence of our inferiority. Seriously, unless there is some actual use for this data, other than to justify oppressive laws and customs, why do you care?

  2. Karen–Dr. Brizendine’s assertion that women and men perceive differently does not give women the right to belittle men over a difference in perception. Hopefully females will use such information in their approach to the opposite sex and eliminate nagging shrewishness.

Hope springs eternal on the new year.

Only if men use it to eliminate their annoying tendency to put off doing what women ask them.

There is not inference to inferiority, just difference.

Seriously, unless there is some actual use for this data, other than to justify oppressive laws and customs, why do you care?

To avoid confusion and confirm that sex is not fluid, but an innate difference that may be manipulated but never changed. How receptive of the information would you be if it was proof that the brains of men and women were the same? Besides, this world would not have the same color and pizazz if everyone thought like a man.

  5. Oh, Karen, she just said men & women perceive the differently, not that women are inferior. Take a deep breath. My only response to this latest ‘scientific’ finding is “duh”.

  7. shelray–no intention to appear as shouting. Rather, I used a pound-sign at the start of the text and the entire bit of text seems to have been wrapped in headline tags. My apologies.

  9. I always hear women say that they want men to love them for their brains. If their brains were just like a man’s, that would make the men gay. :)

Maybe that’s the whole issue. Feminists have brains like men.
