Often times we seem to project our own faults upon others. You might be “sickened to your stomach” to know that you are wrong on both of your claims. First, there is no evidence that there are any psychological disorders even mentioned in the Bible. The New Testament draws a clear distinction between natural maladies and demonic possession and is clear about when there was a miraculous healing and when a demon was known to have been cast out. Thus, it is pure speculation to suggest that any casting out of a demon was simply the cure of a psychological disorder. If that is your claim, you would have a hard time explaining the sudden cure of psychological disorder this is unheard of even today, much less someone without access to psychiatric medicine. In itself, this would have to be declared miraculous. Second, the Catholic Church is not based upon the Bible. Rather, the Bible comes from the Catholic Church. If you were not so caught up in “how right you think you are” you might take the time to actually investigate your beliefs before documenting you ignorance in public.
