Bartering Human Embryos for services rendered
“A UK fertility clinic has been given the green light by the country’s fertility authority to allow women undergoing in-vitro fertilization to trade costs of the treatment in exchange for any surplus eggs. The eggs are to be fertilized, and the resulting embryonic babies mined for cells to be used in research. The decision marks the first instance where human eggs are being legally sold as items of commerce.”
Kind of like letting the fox in the hen house.

Like water swirling down the drain, there goes our concept of the inherent dignity of the human person. I guess that there was something to the Vatican’s opposition to IVF, that while it can lead to a good, it also enables unspeakable abuse. Adoption is the better option, and there’s no shortage of children that need a loving home.

I just watched the movie VanHelsing, which makes a good argument for the rejection of embrionic stem sell research. Dracula is all for embrionic stem cell research, in theory.
