They can't tell if it's there, not everyone agrees on what it is, and it may not matter if it's there or not because it might just be crippling the embrio rather than keeping the embrio from existing. That’s the center of gravity for me. I have a difficult time imagining how that will ever be overcome, and certainly it cannot be with any further scientific investigations.
